How to report an error
Email the editor through our contact page with the article URL and the specific claim you believe is wrong. If you can point to the source document, that speeds things up considerably.
What we do
We check the claim against the primary source. If we got it wrong, we fix the article and add a dated correction note to it saying what was changed. We do not quietly edit a published claim and leave no trace.
Minor changes that do not alter meaning, such as a typo or a broken link, are fixed without a note. Anything that changes the substance of what we told you gets a note.
